This 90 minute webinar was structured as a panel discussion, hosted by the Biodiversity Collaborative, who have been working together with government agencies to develop and prepare for the National Mission on Biodiversity and Human Well-Being under the aegis of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and the National Biodiversity Authority. The session was hosted remotely on October 23, 2020 over Zoom and moderated by Prof. Shannon Olsson, member of the Biodiversity Collaborative, Associate Professor at NCBS-TIFR Bangalore, and Director of the echo network. The esteemed panelists were Neha Dara - Business Head, Round Glass Sustain, Arati Kumar Rao - Independent photographer and writer, Subagunam K. - Environmental Journalist, Ananda Vikatan and Rohan Chakravarty - Cartoonist for Green Humour. The panelists discussed existing strategies for biodiversity communication, and how those working in the biodiversity sector can go beyond traditional approaches of outreach and mobilizing citizens for biodiversity conservation.
